DraftKings Super Bowl LVIII Odds Breakdown
The San Francisco 49ers have been the betting favorite to win Super Bowl LVIII for most of the season, and they will until they lose, which could be this Sunday.
The Detroit Lions come to town boasting an identical 12-5 record yet are +7 point away underdogs at DraftKings Maryland when they meet the 49ers for the right to play in Super Bowl LVIII.
A bet future bet on the 49ers means they must find a way to defeat a red-hot Detroit team riding a three-game home winning streak but are 3-2 straight-up over their last five as the away team.
San Francisco has struggled a bit recently, barely beating the Green Bay Packers in their Divisional Round matchup, but are 5-3 at home this season.
The Baltimore Ravens are the second favorite and host Kansas City on Sunday afternoon. They are -3.5 favorites against the reigning Super Bowl Champs, but the Chiefs are riding a four-game winning streak and have found a way to win football games without lighting up the scoreboard.
Can the Chiefs repeat? Of course, they can. They have the experience, and Patrick Mahomes is a proven winner. Kansas City plays decent defense, and, surprisingly, the Chiefs are nearly a 4-1 underdog to raise the Lombardi Trophy.
That being said, Kansas City struggles against the run, and with rain in the forecast, Baltimore quarterback Lamar Jackson could have a field day against a Chiefs rushing defense, allowing an AFC second-best 112.6 rushing yards per game. +380 aren’t bad odds for a defending Super Bowl champion riding a hot streak.
That leaves us with the Detroit Lions. The betting public doesn’t have much faith in Detroit. They are playing better football than the 49ers are, 6-3 straight-up on the road, but San Francisco allows just under 17 points per home game, and it will be difficult for Detroit to pull this off.
