As many as -10.5 points favor Miami with a 49.5 total. The Maryland prop betting market is bustling with activity, and we have three prop bets for you to consider for this Week 13 matchup.
Join me as I take a closer look at the NFL prop betting markets and share three prop bets for Dolphins vs Commanders for Sunday, December 3.
Jahan Dotson Over 3.5 receptions +125 at BetMGM Maryland
Washington Commander’s wideout Jahan Datson has a matchup where he should see plenty of action as Washington could be staring down a huge deficit as Miami is favored by -10.5.
Datson has become a reliable set of hands for Commanders quarterback Sam Howell. Datson has seen an average of six targets per game over his last five, with 20 receptions and three receiving touchdowns.
Miami has been good against the pass this season, but Howell leads the league in passing yards and will likely play from behind, and Datson has become one of his top targets. Datson has cleared this prop mark in five of his ten games this season. Take Over 3.5 receptions (+125) at BetMGM Maryland.
Terry McLaurin Over 55.5 Receiving Yards -114 at PointsBet Maryland
This prop is based on the same situation the Datson receiving prop. Miami may jump out to a rather large lead Sunday, and Howell already throws more balls than any other quarterback in the league.
Wide receiver Terry McLaurin leads Washington in nearly every statistical receiving category and has seen 46 targets with 23 receptions over his last five matchups. The former Ohio State Buckeye has eclipsed this mark twice in his previous five contests, but the game script is favorable, and he’ll see enough targets. Take Terry McLaurin Over 55.5 receiving yards at PointsBet Maryland.
Curtis Samuel Under 36.5 Receiving Yards -110 at DraftKings Maryland
Washington wideout Curtis Samuel is over-priced after hauling in 100 yards with of passes in a blowout loss to Dallas. Before the Week 12 explosion, Samuel had failed to clear this prop mark in any of his previous four matchups.
Samuel has exceeded this receiving mark in five of his 11 games this season. Still, most of last week’s huge numbers were because McLaurin and Datson were in difficult matchups, and Samuel just happened to be the beneficiary.
Miami doesn’t have that defensive luxury and will be forced to play man-on-man, which Datson and McLaurin might shake more often than last week at Dallas. That means fewer targets, fewer receiving yards, and a winner on the Under 36.5 receiving yards at DraftKings Maryland.
