After a brief testing period during late August, Canton Gaming and its sports betting partner Parx Interactive opened a betPARX Maryland sportsbook at the Greene Turtle Sports Bar & Grille in Canton, Baltimore City, on September 1. Whitman Gaming and sports betting partner FanDuel Maryland opened their sportsbook at Sports & Social in North Bethesda on September 2.

The Greene Turtle property is the first legal brick-and-mortar sportsbook for Canton Gaming and partner betPARX in Baltimore City. The location features a 1,200-square-foot space with 12 betting kiosks, Happy Hour Specials, and special watch parties for the Baltimore Orioles, Washington Commanders, Baltimore Orioles, Baltimore Ravens, and Washington Capitals.
Green Turtle CEO Geo Concepcion is excited about the partnership and said so through a company press release;
“Our Canton location is the first restaurant in our partnership with Finest Flag Gaming and betPARX. It takes our guest experience to the next level,” said Concepcion. “This location has been a long time coming but was definitely worth the wait. We had the time to refine all the things we’ve learned in our newest locations and have taken it to another level. We have a duty to give Maryland, our loyal supporters for nearly five decades, something special, and that’s what we’ve delivered. The Greene Turtle is back in a big way!”
Sports and Social
The Sports & Social location, a partnership between Whitman Gaming and FanDuel, is a 20,000-square-foot venue with a massive 100-foot media wall, 47-foot big screen, 40 HDTVs, an extensive domestic, foreign, and craft beer selection, sports betting kiosks, great food and drink specials with private dining, and opportunities to host watch parties on the property are also available.
