2023/2024 BetMGM Super Bowl Futures Analysis

Defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers are the BetMGM Maryland co-favorites to win the NFL’s most coveted prize.

Kansas City is widely favored just about everywhere else, but that could quickly change after Monday night’s Eagles-Chiefs matchup. The winner of Monday night’s battle will likely swing some money their way, and the board could change completely by Tuesday morning.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Chiefs are 7-2 and lead the AFC West. The Kansas City offense has been electrifying at times and infuriating at other times, but the defense has really stepped up. They boast the third-highest point differential in the league and would be nearly unstoppable if the offense finds some consistency.

San Francisco 49ers

The 49ers are tied for first place in the NFC West with Seattle. They’ve dropped three games, but injuries to key players like quarterback Brock Purdy and wideout Deebo Samuel mostly caused those losses. Otherwise, the 49ers offense purrs like a kitten, but their defense isn’t as stout as the years have passed.

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles don’t appear to be as dominant defensively as they were one year ago, but they are the defending NFC champs and 8-1. They have a difficult matchup Monday night with Kansas City that will tell us quite a bit about both teams. Quarterback Jalen Hurts has thrown more interceptions this season than he did all of last year, which might be why the Eagles aren’t more highly favored.

Baltimore Ravens

Baltimore leads the AFC North and is coming off a solid victory over Cincinnati. The Ravens have the top points differential in the entire league and tight end Mark Andrews suffered a possible season-ending injury in the Ravens victory over the Bengals. Still, the defense is stout, and rookie wideout Zay Flowers continues to impress. Jackson has suffered late-season injuries in each of his past two seasons–Baltimore is toast if they lose Jackson for any length of time.

Miami Dolphins

The Dolphins offense is electric, but not always, and as a result, have losses this season to Buffalo, Philadelphia, and Kansas City. Miami averages 31.7 points per game but less than 20 points in each of those three losses. Miami closes its season at home against Dallas, at Baltimore, then home to host Buffalo in their season finale’. If they somehow win those three, then maybe Miami has a legitimate shot at winning Super Bowl LVIII.
