Maryland May Forecast
It has been an up-and-down ride for Maryland bookmakers since the state legalized sports betting in 2021.
Old Line State bookmakers have earned $118,485,849 in combined revenue since July 1, 2022 but we should expect to see a decline during the summer months due to the lack of major US and international sporting events. Here’s a list of sporting events that could help encourage Maryland gaming officials and maybe outdo their April numbers.
- MLB Regular Season – Maryland has the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals to support.
- WNBA Regular Season (May 19-September 10). Catch the Washington Mystics in action throughout their 40-game regular season schedule.
- French Open Tennis (May 22-June 11). Bet on the best in the world in the 2nd Grand Slam of the tennis calendar.
- Wimbledon (July 3-July 16). The 3rd Grand Slam on the tennis calendar and Wimbledon is the most famous tournament in the world.
